Agape Circle
Our women’s ministry is called Agape Circle. Billy Graham sums up Agape love best when he said “Agape love is selfless love.. the love God wants us to have. Not just an emotion but a conscious act of will–a deliberate decision on our part to put others ahead of ourselves. This is the kind of love God has for us.” We are a circle of women who believe in the Holy Spirit and putting others ahead of ourselves. We meet monthly, and sometimes more if we have big projects coming up. The Agape Circle at CrossRoads is very active is outreach ministries and is always looking for new things to do! We would love for you to join us at any time. We have lots of things planned for every season of the year! The coordinator of the Agape Circle is Kate Parsons.
Bethany Ministry
Bethany was a special place in Jesus’ life. It was at Bethany where Mary and Martha showed their dedication to Jesus in the way each served him. In that same spirit the “Marys and Marthas” of CrossRoads offers this ministry.
Our Bethany ministry is every Second Tuesday of the month and offers free household or personal hygiene items to anyone in need. We offer a drive through, where the products are handed to you under our portico by the entrance to Wesley Hall. If you need your items delivered, please contact the church office and make arrangements 573-624-3344.
Kingdom Kids
Kingdom Kids, here at CrossRoads, is our children’s ministry. During the 9:15 AM and 10:30 AM services, one of our trained team members will take any children to our education wing for a short lesson based on the Bible. Songs, crafts, stories, games are all incorporated to help guide your kiddos to understanding the greatness of Jesus. We also have a nursery for our littlest visitors. Infants and any other little ones can hang with our members in the nursery throughout any service. We also offer “busy bags” if your child would rather stay with you during the worship service. We know you belong here, so we offer lots of options!
Music Ministry
Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts. – Psalm 105:2
We are blessed with a bountiful music ministry at CrossRoads! Whether it’s a contemporary song or a traditional hymn that touches your heart, you will not be disappointed in attending a worship service at CrossRoads! Music is an integral part of worship for many of us, and can reach out when words fail.
The 9:15 service will flame your spirit with PRAISE with new, modern songs performed by The Praise Band, lead by David Clark, in Wesley Hall. Wesley Hall itself is set up to offer performances with the stage and awesome sound system.
If you like to sing, we have a chancel choir that sings weekly on Sundays. We also have local musicians, both members and from the community perform specials! Mary Ruth Boone is the Director of Music for the Traditional services. The chancel choir sings at special events for church members and the community. Practice is every Wed. night 7pm All are welcome!!
CrossRoads is also host to the Southeast Missouri Regional Vocal Ensemble, lead by Mary Ruth Boone. This is our second year for a choir of 30+ members from all over Southeast MO! So much talent in one place! This regional choir performs a robust Christmas Cantata in CrossRoads’ beautiful sanctuary in December.
We also have a HANDBELL CHOIR!!!!
This group practices every Sunday afternoon at 4:30 PM! This is a great group and for humans of all ages and stages of life! Middle School through Senior Citizenship. You do not have to read music to play the bells. Performances are seasonal and take place at the 10:30 AM service.
